The TM28 will have to be set to its selected battery type to push the 6000 Lumens.  Please see below:

Battery selection:

Upon each battery installation, a battery selection prompt comes up on the OLED display that has to be chosen. Below are your options:

  • Li-ion. Regular rechargeable li-ion batteries allowing for max output of 4500 lumens.
  • IMR. High discharge li-ion batteries allowing for max output of 6000 lumens.
  • Batt Pack. NBP68HD, optional battery pack allowing for max output of 6000 lumens.
Please follow the steps below to select the battery type: This can be tricky and can take a few tries to master as the light only allows 10 seconds for battery selection to be chosen upon fully tightening the battery pack or canister to the head of the light. If you are not able to do on first try just fully loosen the pack/canister and tighten to re-start the selection process. Keep in mind these steps will have to be followed each time the batteries or battery pack are removed from the head.

1) Install the fully charger batteries or battery pack to the head of the light
2) The OLED display on the head will illuminate once fully tightened
3) Select the correct battery type by pressing the display switch and then quickly press the power switch to confirm your selection

NOTE: If no action is taken for 10 seconds after battery installation, the OLED display will enter stand-by mode and function as option 1: Li-ion. Regular rechargeable li-ion batteries allowing for max output of 4500 lumens.
