Unique feature

  • Longest throw among all Nitecore MH flashlights that use 1x 21700/18650 battery

Recommendation

Anyone who likes a compact (in length and head dimension) handheld flashlight with a decent throw.

Possible user error and troubleshooting tips

  • Fail to remove the insulating disc in a new light
  • If the light flashes but does not stay on when the switch is clicked, try to tighten the plate inside the tail cap
  • The head is glued to the body tube so there is not much else to troubleshoot.
  • Accidentally set to the "Tactical mode": The MH25S has two configurations: The Daily mode can memorize different brightness settings while the tactical mode only memorizes TURBO and Strobe modes. If the buyer complains the light always turns on at the maximum setting, he likely has activated the Tactical mode.
    • To switch between the Tactical and Daily mode, press and hold down the side switch while clicking on the light. Keep holding down the side switch until the light starts to blink. Two blinks means the light is in tactical mode while one blink means the light is in Daily mode.

Charging sequence

  • There is no "Rapid blinking" status to indicate errors in charging. The indicator underneath the side switch either blinks slowly to indicate a proper charging or remains steady which could mean charging is completed or not being charged at all. In another word, charging the light with the insulating disc inside will also show a steady blue indicator.
  • To charge the light, follow the steps below
    1. Make sure the battery is installed and the insulating disc is removed
    2. Fully tighten the tail cap
    3. Connect the USB-C cable between the light and a USB adapter
    4. The blue indicator will start blinking slowly and eventually turn solid to indicate a full charge
    5. (Step 2 and 3 cannot be reversed or the charging won't start -- the indicator stays solid)
