Charging
The charging is different from most rechargeable flashlights.
- It is only compatible with a QC3.0 adapter (included) or a PD adapter (C to C). If it is connected to a regular USB adapter, the light will not charge, as indicated by the rapid blinking blue indicator underneath the front side switch
- The tail cap power button must be pressed down (powered on) to activate the charging.
Troubleshooting
1: Light does not charge (battery cannot hold a charge, or the blue indicator rapidly flashes, or the light only has the dim setting, etc.,)
Follow the steps below to charge the flashlight.
- If it is a brand new light, unscrew the tail cap and ensure the white insulating disc is removed.
- Install the two NL2150 batteries with their button tops towards the front
- Fully tighten the tail cap
- Click the tail cap power button to turn on the flashlight
- Connect the USB cable between the flashlight and the included QC3 charger, or a PD adapter
- Check the blue indicator underneath the front side switch. If it blinks rapidly, click the power button again
- The light is being charged when the blue indicator blinks slowly
- Let the light charge for 3-4 hours or until the blue indicator turns steady
2. The light does not always respond to the remote pressure switch
- Ensure the remote switch is within 1 meter from the light and no obstacle is blocking the signal.
- When clicking the button on the remote switch, firmly press it down perpendicularly instead of tapping it from an angle.
- Change the CR3216 battery if needed.
3. A brand new MH40S starts to strobe. No other modes are available.
The factory fails to pair the light with the remote switch properly. Follow the steps below to re-pair the remote switch with the light.
- Tap the tail switch while holding the front mode switch for 5 seconds. The light will flash quickly to indicate the pair pending status.
- Press both buttons A and B of the wireless remote switch until the flashlight becomes steadily turned on.
- The light shall work properly now.
