We deeply apologize for the incident. The EDC27 flashlight has a high-lumen output and may generate significant heat when operated at maximum brightness for an extended period. The factory has consistently advised users, both in the manual and quick start note, to utilize the Lockout function when carrying the light in pockets, bags, or on belts. The proximity sensor is designed as a supplementary feature and is more effective when used on a reflective surface.
We will promptly forward the feedback to the factory for their consideration in further improving the design of the flashlight. Meanwhile, we will replace your flashlight. In order to proceed with the replacement, kindly provide us with the 14-digit serial number on the side of the light, as well as your current address where we can ship the replacement.
EDC27 Troubleshooting
1. Only the two low setting works. The light cannot access 1000 lumens, TURBO, or Strobe settings.
Please use a clean cloth to wipe the front lens of the EDC27 flashlight and ensure there are no obstructions blocking the beam. The flashlight has a built-in sensor that will automatically lower the brightness if it detects an object in front of the lens.
2. The light steps down from TURBO/Hight immediately
(1) Use a dry cloth to clean the lens
(2) Ask the buyer to keep the light on, drain the battery, and charge it again. It might fix the issue.
