1) What battery types did you test the light with? If you are using 18650 please tell us which brand and mAH the battery is.

2)Remove batteries and unscrew the PD35 to three parts: head A, body tube B and tail cap C

3)Put A and B together. Make sure the body tube B is installed in the direction shown in the attached image, i.e. the tip of the pocket clip should point towards the front. If you reverse B you can still screw it on but the light will not work. Fully tighten A and B. (Please check the attached image)

4)Insert batteries into the light with positive button head pointing towards the front of the light.

5) Take a look at the thread near the end of the light tube. Make sure the O-ring is properly settled and not on top of the thread, There should be only one O-ring,.

6) Fully tighten tail cap C.

7)Turn on the light with the power switch on the tail cap.

Can you turn on the light now?

If you can turn on the light but fail to switch modes, it might because the light is in tactical mode. Fenix PD35 tac comes with two sets of operation mode. The front side button is disabled when it is in tactical mode.

1. One is called "Outdoor mode": you can use tail cap to power on/off the light and tap front side button to switch the intensity.

2. The other is called "Tactical mode": the tail cap can access low/high/strobe function through quick tapping. The front side button is disabled.

3. To switch between these two modes, turn on the light then press and hold down the front side button until the light flashes twice on low output. You can enable/disable the side switch through this method.
