Occasionally some customers will question the beam distance, or use it as a reason for return since they do not feel the light shine as stated. We always authorize such returns but we also let the buyers know how beam distance works. Below is an example reply.

----------------------

According to the manufacturer, the beam distance follows ANSI FL1 standard, which is defined as below:

Beam distance is defined as the distance from the flashlight where illuminance is equivalent to a full moon on a clear night.

It is a reading from an instrument which could be different from what can perceived with human eyes. The latter is affected by weather, object size, vision, scope quality etc. You can check the details by googling "ANSI flashlight beam distance"

In any case, customer satisfaction is our highest concern. If the light does not meet your requirement, you can return it for refund.
